One student wrote in a reflection:
At least for me, my voice is my way of expressing myself and influencing others. Taking that away from me would erase my footprint on this earth. Today for me was a symbol of greater change and awareness for one of the many taxing issues that kids across the world face. Here in Edmonton, it would be a completely different world for me if I was voiceless and had no freedom or opportunity. |
